[bible story] God remembers you

"Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." <Matthew 28:19>

God loves us.
God sent His son for our salvation.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins and then Jesus arose after three days, and Jesus went up to Heaven.


Just before Jesus went up to Heaven, Jesus told His disciples to go and tell everybody about Him.
Jesus said that they should baptize all who would believe in Him.


There are three special things that the minister of a church must do.
The minister must preach God's Word, especially telling people about Jesus.
The minister must baptize, And the minister must also serve the Lord's Supper.


All three help us to learn more about God, and to grow more and more like Jesus.
That is what every Christian must do!

Are you a good man? Are you a good woman?
Are you a good father or mother?
Are you a good minister? Are you a good  friend?


It's nice to be a good woman or a good man, isn't it?
When you are good, you are happy, you can sing, you can skip and play.
But when you have been naughty, everybody is sad.
Mother is sad, Daddy is sad, your wife is sad, your husband is sad.
God is sad. Happiness is all gone.


Then why aren't you good all the time?
Well, it's hard to be good all the time.
Even grown-ups are not good all the time.


Why is it so hard to be good?


Listen to me!
It is hard because we have sin in our hearts.

Now, my friends!
God has told us how we must live. So, God gave His law.


God's law tells us what we must do, and God's law tells us what we must not do.
God's law tells us what kind of people His children.

How sin came into the world?

The question I ask is:
Who made this world?
Well, we know that God made the heavens and the earth.


And when God made the world, God made everything beautiful and good.
The first people, Adam and Eve, were so happy.
But oh, how many things are not beautiful and good any more!


People now are so unhappy.
There is sickness, sadness, hatred and anger, war and strife.
There are selfish people, and wicked people, quarreling and fighting.


What is the matter?
What has happened to this beautiful world?
What has happened to the people that were so happy at the very first?
Well, sin has come into the world.
